JA Inspire is more than a career fair: It brings together the business community and local schools and is designed to help launch middle school students into their future in high school, college, and careers beyond. During the JA Inspire expo, students participate in hands-on activities, often using equipment or tools used on a job. The multi-hour experience is configurable to align with local industry and career opportunities.
8th grade students in Osceola County receive five classroom lessons prior to attending the JA Inspire Expo at Heritage Park. These lessons focus on career exploration, student aptitude, career and education pathways, and more. The culminating event after these lessons is a field trip to Osceola Heritage Park where students interact with over 50 different local and national companies, small businesses, community partners, and education institutions, bringing their classroom lessons to life in a real-world, meaningful way.
